Explore a wide variety of native and endangered Australian species at Potoroo Palace, a nonprofit sanctuary offering visitors a chance to observe potoroos, swamp wallabies, eastern gray kangaroos, wombats, koalas, snakes, and birds. This nature park offers hands-on tours for children, which provide an educational and entertaining way to learn about the importance of environmental conservation. • We spent over 5 hours here and enjoyed every minute. The keeper talk is free and well worth attending. If you don't have so much time it would also be value for money we just love taking pictures. Had...  more »
  • Along my travel I visited some other places where you were able to pet some kangaroos - but Potoroo place isn’t touristic at all & the animals have a really good life there. It might be a small place ...  more »

  • Great little place visited on the way back from Eden. Had a bite to eat before entering the accual Zoo part. Food was all home made, having scones with home made jam and cream was beautiful. Pricing wasn't cheap, but l was very happy with the whole experience with the place. Been to a few native wildlife Zoos, but have never seen any Dingo's and Bats. So was very excited to find them here. So overall was very happy with the whole experience only downfall would be the pricing. I would come again for the home made scones.
  • The zoo is nice enough but everything looks a bit old and shabby. The animals are well cared for though. I think the entry price is a bit high for what you get.
  • Just an awesome place where the staff are dedicated to the wildlife they protect.
  • Wildlife Sanctuary. Friendly staff. You can feed the kangaroos, wallabys and emus, which roam freely around the park. You can enter the enclosures of the Tawny Frogmouths, Bettongs & Kookaburras. The keeper talks are interesting and they feed the Echidnas as they talk.
  • Really cool little sustainable zoo, with native Australian animals. My sons were really excited to pat and feed the Kangaroos, and to meet little Priscilla the Echidna.
