Explore a wide variety of native and endangered Australian species at Potoroo Palace, a nonprofit sanctuary offering visitors a chance to observe potoroos, swamp wallabies, eastern gray kangaroos, wombats, koalas, snakes, and birds. This nature park offers hands-on tours for children, which provide an educational and entertaining way to learn about the importance of environmental conservation. • Obviously an older venue set in beautiful natural bushland only 10 minutes north of Merimbula. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff trying their best. Displays are good but information signage needs ...  more »
  • Nice to visit.. have touched a kangaroo for the first time. and I am also with different in the picture! At the entrance you can buy for a token amount for what to feed the Kangaroos. The other animals are great to have. Please note that this is a shelter, not a Zoo! Super that these people do this!

  • The zoo is nice enough but everything looks a bit old and shabby. The animals are well cared for though. I think the entry price is a bit high for what you get.
  • Really cool little sustainable zoo, with native Australian animals. My sons were really excited to pat and feed the Kangaroos, and to meet little Priscilla the Echidna.
  • One of our favourite places to visit! Have been here multiple times and have loved it each time. Each of the animals has a story, lovely to see the animals being cared for and loved. Really special place! Nice little gift shop too!
  • Great place to spend the day at a wildlife park. Plenty of animals to see and you get to feed the kangaroos. There is a train ride for the kids and couple of games for the kids to play. Even a cafe for a bite to eat if you dont bring your lunch.
  • A wonderful animal sanctuary... Great tourist destination...
