Yarra River, Melbourne

4.7
#2 of 96 in Nature in Victoria
Water Body Nature / Park
By day, you can enjoy walking, jogging, or cycling up one side of Yarra River, through the parks and paved paths of Southbank Promenade. These paths lead visitors toward an impressive array of sports arenas, including the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Rod Laver Centre, and the former Olympic stadium. On the Central Business District side of the river, you can stop at a bar or cafe before heading into the center of the city. At night, the cityscape visible from the riverside is bright and vibrant, and the views up and down the river from the higher floors of buildings, such as the harbor-side Hilton, are particularly notable. • It is a river which flows near the town centre. There is not never in clean water. I think from a high position as a night watch and best.

Where to stay in Melbourne

The hub of tourist and commercial activity, the center of Melbourne remains the best place to stay if you're looking to splurge and enjoy every possible modern amenity during your visit. Travelers on a limited budget can search for cozy yet less expensive rooms in the seaside suburb of St Kilda or the bohemian neighborhood of Fitzroy. Though the city center offers more than a fair share of mid-range lodging options, you'll also find plenty of rooms in this price bracket in the quieter suburbs.
