  • It is said the Museum has exhibited works of art, such as in the Melbourne University, close to the gallery. Spot, you can experience the latest art and videos are shown on a big screen theater. High point is free of charge!

  • A small but excellent little museum of modern art. Often has very interesting exhibitions
  • Expectes much better things, especially in the Syrian part of the museum. Very cozy and neat though.
  • Nice place to gather information about what's artistically happening in Melbourne. Nicely curated and perfect place on The Federation Square
  • Small, free museum and gallery space. If you are visiting the University of Melbourne then it makes for a relaxing stop. Good place to escape the summer heat or winter rain.
  • Good and fluid collection of interesting art

Where to stay in Melbourne

The hub of tourist and commercial activity, the center of Melbourne remains the best place to stay if you're looking to splurge and enjoy every possible modern amenity during your visit. Travelers on a limited budget can search for cozy yet less expensive rooms in the seaside suburb of St Kilda or the bohemian neighborhood of Fitzroy. Though the city center offers more than a fair share of mid-range lodging options, you'll also find plenty of rooms in this price bracket in the quieter suburbs.
