Where to stay in Melbourne

The hub of tourist and commercial activity, the center of Melbourne remains the best place to stay if you're looking to splurge and enjoy every possible modern amenity during your visit. Travelers on a limited budget can search for cozy yet less expensive rooms in the seaside suburb of St Kilda or the bohemian neighborhood of Fitzroy. Though the city center offers more than a fair share of mid-range lodging options, you'll also find plenty of rooms in this price bracket in the quieter suburbs.

  • If you are boarding or departing a cruise ship then this sadly is the pier you will use. It is not up to scratch compared to other terminals in Australia like the two in Sydney and the one in Brisbane...  more »
  • Easy access, plenty of restaurants and pubs to check out and still also very close to the city. Great part of Melbourne but the Port itself could do with some funds invested in some redevelopment.  more »

  • I would not recommend this place at all. Amy called my partner, followed by shortly interrupting her to call her back later. We then left multiple voicemails and emails with the business with no response. If that is how they conduct themselves, can you trust them with something as important as an engagement party?
  • Easy access to the Spirit of Tasmania!
  • Great venue for birthdays and functions close to the city but away from any rifraf. Staff were accomdating to decorations and visits.
  • Really cool little place good catering.
  • Love this place. Great functions and Entertainment. Love playing here as Dekdrum Entertainment
