  • Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of families there. The facility is well set up for children. Great experience. Saw some new species and plenty of familiar ones. Worth a visit  more »
  • Amazing facility but quite expensive if taking young kids with short attention spans. May be worth a year long pass if you can go multiple times to get your money's worth.  more »
  • A little bit expensive 42$ for one adult Isn't as big as I expected however the animals are good....  more »

  • Very fun visit ! A lot of cool activities to keep youngsters busy (even adults). I particularly enjoyed the stamp trail that not only guided us through the exhibits but also gave us a fun little keep sake from our visit. The staff were very friendly and culturally diversified. It was a very pleasant surprise running into a french employee from France. As a French Canadian tourist, I really enjoyed that little encounter !
  • This is a very nice aquarium. We went on a week day and it wasn't too busy. We spent the whole day here. The staff is very helpful and kind. The animal talks are quite interesting and include some unique stories about the resident fish. The kids loved the hands-on play area and the stamp sheet. The food was a little pricey, but what you would expect for an aquarium. They did have some healthy choices which was nice.
  • Pretty good day out. I would recommend doing a behind the scenes tour which I found was great fun and a lot more interesting than just wandering through. It is a bit pricey though.
  • Wonderful place to visit as a tourist. They've got talks about certain animals at certain times & for a price you can even scuba dive in the tank. Food at the restaurant are decent and are not too pricey. Best if you drag your whole family and go.
  • I’ve been here before and it was the best! I love Penguins and I saw 10 of them dive in to the water and it was so funny. There was cool fish. The gift shop had cool merchandise. It had a good café. If you like sea animals and you live in Victoria, Australia come and visit the SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium.

Where to stay in Melbourne

The hub of tourist and commercial activity, the center of Melbourne remains the best place to stay if you're looking to splurge and enjoy every possible modern amenity during your visit. Travelers on a limited budget can search for cozy yet less expensive rooms in the seaside suburb of St Kilda or the bohemian neighborhood of Fitzroy. Though the city center offers more than a fair share of mid-range lodging options, you'll also find plenty of rooms in this price bracket in the quieter suburbs.
