  • It is very well-taken care of with lots of interesting exhibitions. Definitely suited to a family outing as a lot of things are tailored to entertain children, although adults can very much enjoy the experience just as much. I particularly enjoy the penguins and their feeding time. I just wish there would be more interactive or information sessions.
  • Great experience, needed more time because we love to take photos and 2hrs was pushing it. We were advised 1.5hrs is usually enough time and, I think that's true if you're with little ones. We bought the professional photos they take when you first enter the aquarium, and yes they were a bit expensive but, we got them as a souvenir since we're not from Melbourne. The 4G theatre was neat and, we actually felt the fake snow spray and mist squirting our heads and back of the legs, a little sharp but, it added to the experience. I recommend get their early and spend the day, take a picnic if you're on a budget. You'll have time to go see the scheduled feeding times and activities. They have coin operated lockers there big enough to store suitcases and backpacks.
  • This is a nice place to spend the afternoon and a great value for the family. A great array of sea life with fun activities will keep everyone engaged for a few hours. One thing worth noting is there needs to be better air circulation in the building. The three people in our party all felt a little sick by the end of it due to the air, so try and get a couple of stops outside on the decks for a breather.
  • We have loved all our visits to the Aquarium, the kids love looking at all the different sea life and the touch pool is always a favourite. A must do with your visitors, although I'm finding plenty of locals still haven't gotten around to it. A perfect activity for a rainy day since it's all inside (once you get there).
  • Excellent range of creatures on display and it all looks pristine. Very clean and well maintained. Loved the tunnel to walk through and feeling of being under water. Our favourites of course, the penguins! Well worth a few hours to visit.
