  • Quite spectacular for the scenery. The lake is an impressive size and a great walk around. The gardens have some interesting plants, variety and are well kept. The large open green areas get a lot of people relaxing under the trees / sun. Playground options are plentiful. Overall park infrastructure is top notch.
  • Our absolute favourite park. It's has everything from 2 playgrounds for younger and older children, ducks, geese and swans, water fountains, the most stunning gardens and plenty of free parking as well as a cafe with great coffee. It's no wonder it's a very popular spot for couples to get wedding photos taken as it really is stunning.
  • Great park in the heart of Moonee Ponds. Complete with an artificial lake with fountains in the center. There are a number of historic monuments scattered around including a large memorial to Australian soldiers, and the site of a Burke and Wills camp.
  • Had photos done here and the afternoon sunlight streaming through the trees was just lovely. Prime spot to have an explore. Something for everyone
  • Very nice park to get relax and fresh air. Big lake, plenty of ducks. Good idea to enjoy the family. Clean and green. You must visited it!

Where to stay in Melbourne

The hub of tourist and commercial activity, the center of Melbourne remains the best place to stay if you're looking to splurge and enjoy every possible modern amenity during your visit. Travelers on a limited budget can search for cozy yet less expensive rooms in the seaside suburb of St Kilda or the bohemian neighborhood of Fitzroy. Though the city center offers more than a fair share of mid-range lodging options, you'll also find plenty of rooms in this price bracket in the quieter suburbs.
