  • We ordered a hot chocolate takeaway an it was super expensive and f...ing hot. Burnt my tongue and palate. Had to wait a while before being able to drink it. Didn't even tasted good. Supposed to be Belgian choc well I don't known if they've tasted real Belgium choc because it was far from good enough. Not worth it.
  • A lovely place to stop and enjoy the gorgeous Royal Arcade which runs between the Bourke Street Mall and Little Collins Street. We sat upstairs in the Lounge which is cosy and comfortable and great for people watching if you sit near a window. Great service and delicious, reasonably priced food and drinks.
  • i love the relaxing vibes here, but the staff were so rude i felt so disappointed. We two ordered one hot chocolate & mocha, and they brought two hot chocolate. Then i complained about this, the staff said to us, i'll change it to mocha, "if you want" i thought they should've explained a bit of apologies, i don't mean to accuse them of taking our order incorrectly. Anyway, i liked the seats upstairs even though one woman was so rude.
  • The chilli hot chocolate was lovely, but not worth $7.00. Ambient, comfortable and beautiful decor. Slow service though (I had to ask to make an order).
  • My daughters love Koko Black and get it as a treat. It's always rushed here, staff seem too busy for customers and communication is lacking. Not the best Koko Black in Melbourne.

Where to stay in Melbourne

The hub of tourist and commercial activity, the center of Melbourne remains the best place to stay if you're looking to splurge and enjoy every possible modern amenity during your visit. Travelers on a limited budget can search for cozy yet less expensive rooms in the seaside suburb of St Kilda or the bohemian neighborhood of Fitzroy. Though the city center offers more than a fair share of mid-range lodging options, you'll also find plenty of rooms in this price bracket in the quieter suburbs.
