  • Excellent, very friendly staff. Took our 2yo and he loved it. Interesting for grown ups too.
  • What a fascinating snapshot of our firefighting history. I took my two toddlers and it was kid friendly and fun. Staff were so welcoming and friendly. The info session was sensational and the kids loved sitting in the fire truck!!
  • Great free Fire show for kids every Friday at 10.30am. Museum costs $10 adult or $18 family. Very interesting. Kids can climb on fire truck.
  • Very friendly Fire Museum staff gave us a full tour through many of the sections unseen in the regular tours. Valuable historical gem.
  • Got a great guided tourn croma retired officer.

Where to stay in Melbourne

The hub of tourist and commercial activity, the center of Melbourne remains the best place to stay if you're looking to splurge and enjoy every possible modern amenity during your visit. Travelers on a limited budget can search for cozy yet less expensive rooms in the seaside suburb of St Kilda or the bohemian neighborhood of Fitzroy. Though the city center offers more than a fair share of mid-range lodging options, you'll also find plenty of rooms in this price bracket in the quieter suburbs.
