  • It looks good and has a classy feel and this is supported by the top class Brand shops throughout the Emporium. It never looks that busy and one hopes it can be sustained longer term but if you are lo...  more »

  • Love this mall. The aesthetics are clean and well structured. The food hall is amazing with a variety of choices. Little Asia, ground floor is bursting with Asian cuisines! Kyoto tea house for green tea ice-cream is a must!
  • The variety of stores is good but I don't like that they have almost no seats anywhere. After buying a nice cold drink from T2, there was nowhere to sit and drink it so we ended up sitting on the floor in the linkway hoping nobody tripped over us. I know research has shown that not providing seats means the husbands throw more money at the wives to hurry and get the shopping trip finished but it also means people think twice about returning. I'll be buying my next T2 drink, and probably tea to take home, in Melbourne Central where there's seats.
  • Fantastic variety of stores from high end to everyday fashion. Great choices available in food court. The whole mall is well looked after, good lighting and clean. Had a really great shopping experience overall.
  • Need to turn the sound down on the big screens in food court. Spoils the eating experience. We have enough digital stuff going on. Most patrons are looking at their phones anyway. It’s unnecessary and tacky. Unless that’s what Emporium is going for.
  • Nice shopping centre for a visit. Great to be able to walk via the pedestrian bridges through to the stores. The place is usually very clean and has lots of different areas for people to seat down. the food court is great.

Where to stay in Melbourne

The hub of tourist and commercial activity, the center of Melbourne remains the best place to stay if you're looking to splurge and enjoy every possible modern amenity during your visit. Travelers on a limited budget can search for cozy yet less expensive rooms in the seaside suburb of St Kilda or the bohemian neighborhood of Fitzroy. Though the city center offers more than a fair share of mid-range lodging options, you'll also find plenty of rooms in this price bracket in the quieter suburbs.
