Fox Creek Wines, McLaren Vale

(4.6/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
It all began when a group of medicos decided to realise a lifelong passion - creating a wine from bare earth and sunshine. The earth was found at McLaren Vale, one of South Australia's premier wine regions, renowned worldwide for its Shiraz and other red wines. The sunshine was free.

Between them and their families Fox Creek Wines was born and they could not have imagined what a success their venture would be!

  • Sea and Vines 2016 a disgrace......not enough bar staff to cope with the huge and I mean huge crowds....and what bar staff they had they were surly to say the least ....had to wait 30-45 mins to get one drink that wasn't even poured to the line level and when people ask them to at least pour to the line measure we were greeted with "sighs, eye rolls and comments of really" most people got their drink and went to the back of the line to get their next drink as it took so long to their first one.....after waiting so long for our first drinks our party of 15 left.....none of us impressed and none of us wanting to return..........not really good enough sorry....
  • Very friendly staff and the treasure hunt for kids is fantastic!
  • Excellent reds and friendly service in a picturesque setting. So glad we visited.
  • As designated driver I really appreciated the extra activities available here. I suspect they were aimed at a younger crowd. However while my colleagues were tasting the full range of wines available I kept myself amused doing a treasure hunt around the cottage that is their cellar door. I tried the Vixen sparkling red and I'm looking forward to opening my own bottles when they arrive in the mixed case we are getting delivered up to Sydney.
  • Bit cramped.
