  • Easy drive from Melbourne. Great for a bush and and snow get away. Lots to see in this beautiful part of Victoria.  more »
  • This is a great place close to Melbourne to take the children to see the snow. However watch out for the Sphincter Police who are running around telling you to get off the snow as they need to save it...  more »
  • Was here yesterday and while everything was ofcourse closed, it was still beautiful with the silvery trees against the blue skies. It was peaceful which will not be the case once the season starts so ...  more »

  • It's a great place to take your kids in winter have a play in the snow in the summer it's a place to go for long walks to enjoy the view
  • Very friendly and helpful service people but DON'T be mistaken! There is NO lake here! food counter is opened out of winter season for small snacks and drinks.
  • Nice summer's drive/ride through forest and winding roads. Very impressed to find the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort Cafe offer so many vegetarian options, unlike eateries elsewhere where imagination and common sense is lacking! Activities observed included tube rides for the kids and quite a long flying fox ride for all ages.
  • Good walking in summer with great long views from the summit and mountain bikes are also allowed. In winter, expect to pay for your snow. There is no Lake by the way so don't expect anything but the ususl gum trees or even a view of one. It's named after a novelist. If you don't want to do the summit walks it would not really be worth coming up.
  • Beautiful view in spring, make sure to go there in cloudy day for better view
