Where to stay in Sydney

Sydney offers visitors hundreds of lodging options in its central area, with choices suitable for most budgets. As expected in a major tourist destination, harbor views play a major role in determining room prices. Expect to pay more for ocean-view suites, especially if you visit at the peak of the tourist season or around big city events. If you don't need to stay in the center of Sydney, consider budget-friendly hotels near the airport, or look for smaller roadside motels in the city's South West neighborhood.

  • It's always bustling with people, even on rainy days in winter. It has a good vibe about it. I mostly buy plants, fruit and raw honey, but there is lots to look at.
  • Some fantastic local organic food, great to meet the food producers, a real community feel, very chilled atmosphere, great lunch options with incredibly fresh food, some interesting non-food options in the hall including clothing, soaps, candles etc
  • I really really really like these markets, it got heaps of fresh produce and fresh lunch options on. There's also crafts on in their hall and some massage stands as well. It's kid friendly and there are sometimes pony rides/kids activities on. Heaps of shade and just a nice place to spend some time on Sunday.
  • I really loved this market & all the variety of goods. You can pick up good bargains & can haggle too. I'm from Darwin, visiting relatives in Sydney. I recommend... Pasta shop...Vegan Ravioli!
  • This place was awesome! However hard to get parking. Also make sure you bring cash as there's only one atm and there's usually a very long line. The stalls that are in the market were awesome. Definitely coming back
