  • Marrickville markets have a lovely, community vibe. Many of the stalls are not organic though so you need to be careful with checking the origin of the produce. The markets have changed a lot in the last 5 or so years, becoming busier and more hipster, however they're still a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning.
  • Quite a nice market, and in a good way, different from usual Sydney's vibe. This place is more like the markets around Byron Bay area or the Northern NSW coast. There are plenty of good food options and it's got a friendly atmosphere in general.
  • Great day out with the family and 4 legged friends. Always a great vibe with an eclectic feel. Fruit and veg are good and rustic bread loaves always a hit. Only small negative is that it is very busy which is a sign of how good it is. We like to grab some food and sit at the back where there is some grass..you can even pay for the kids to have a pony ride for $8!
  • Love this place, lots of great, healthy food options. Prices are reasonable & top quality. Highly recommended. Just a tough place for parking. Can get a little congested. Would be a little uncomfortable on hot days.
  • An array of fresh fruit and produce but not all of them are organic. Albeit prices are slightly more expensive, nice to support local independent farmers and businesses.

Where to stay in Sydney

Sydney offers visitors hundreds of lodging options in its central area, with choices suitable for most budgets. As expected in a major tourist destination, harbor views play a major role in determining room prices. Expect to pay more for ocean-view suites, especially if you visit at the peak of the tourist season or around big city events. If you don't need to stay in the center of Sydney, consider budget-friendly hotels near the airport, or look for smaller roadside motels in the city's South West neighborhood.
