  • What an amazing historical place to stay and learn so much about it. We stayed for 4 days. Perfect experience. Amazing, friendly staff. Perfect views. Clean rooms, full of nature. We also did the Ghost tour which taught us so much about the history of this place and scared us soooooo much. Recommended!!! Cant wait to visit Manly again and stay there again as it is now on our favourite hotel list !!!!! Good job guys.
  • Excellent hideaway. A true hidden gem in Sydney. Very peaceful and quiet, secluded private beach, shuttle bus throughout the complex, contemporary rooms, 5 star dining - All within the fascinating history of Sydney’s quarantine station.
  • I like the Q Station, and have been here a number of times. However, the service seems to have gone down since my last visit a few years ago. We booked for 3 people, but the fold out bed wasn't made up. It took 2 phone calls and over 3 hours to get someone to bring bedding. They also took the pillows from the main bed and put on the fold out and told us to call reception if we wanted a second pillow. Very odd. Why wouldn't they just bring pillows for the second bed? Under the fold out was a dirty towel and used tissues which was revolting. We also discovered later that our room was basically set up for 2, not 3 people. We only got 2 towels, 2 mugs, 2 mismatched wine glasses, 2 coffee sachets etc. We decided to get coffee from the guest lounge since we couldn't make coffee for the 3 of us but the coffee machine had run out of coffee. We rang reception to see if someone could fill up the machine, and were told they'd send someone. We waited for awhile but no one came. At 11am the next morning when we tried again, there was still no coffee. Our Brochure said there was happy hour on at the Engine Room on Fridays. When we got there, there was no one there. We waited over 20 mins before asking a staff member at the Boiler Room and they told us the Brochure was over 2 years old, like we should have known this. We checked the website and came back when it said it was open, and it still wasn't open. I also wouldn't recommend staying in summer, it's very humid, with no windows and a slow ceiling fan. To get any air, you have to sleep with the door open. The place and location itself is lovely though. Beautiful views. Lots of wildlife.
  • The room we had was with a bathroom around the corner. The Q Station is spectacular and certainly worth to stay a night, but it is not comfortable. Personally, I felt abit strange sleeping there considering the history of the place and the tragedies which must have taken place there. Positive: the breakfast is great!
  • Fantastic historical site on Sydney Harbour at Manly. The accomodation is in refurbished rooms at the old Sydney Quarantine Station. There's lots to see and the restaurant is excellent. Note that the rooms are not air conditioned.
