T'Gallant, Main Ridge

(3.2/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
T'Gallant represents the Australian wine industry admirably. Although the winery produces both reds and whites, Pinot Grigio is the specialty. Different vineyards here produce different flavors, and you can taste samples all along the Pinot Grigio spectrum from crisp and dry to fruity and sweet. Tour the vineyards to learn about their grape varieties and the viticulture process, and enjoy a wood-fired pizza in the restaurant. The winery also puts on cabaret evenings and cooking classes, so check the schedule before you visit. With our custom trip planner, Main Ridge attractions like T'Gallant can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Before I start, I'll point out that I prefer a Shiraz or other full bodied red and am not really a fan of white wines to begin with but... The wine served to the tour group had to be the cheapest bottom shelf wine that could be scrounged up, presented well, very nice vineyard, but when it comes down to it, bitterness, dryness, acidic content and sourness are more commonly enjoyed when they are shared with something else. Not all at the same time.. I really hoped that it was just leading up to a fantastic wine that by contrast seemed extra special, but alas no, pink wine and moscato was the only wine to come with any flavour and you could basically feel the sugar coating your teeth. The most pleasing wine tasted was most similar to the flavour of water, I feel sorry for overseas tourists if these are the wines they are introduced to as Australian wines!! Not a true reflection
  • Great food and wine at a very reasonable price. Relaxed outdoor atmosphere with live music, made for lovely spring afternoon!
  • It was wonderful to get genuine Italian food in Australia, I think the bad reviews are from people think a parma and a Johnny boys pizza is italian. No shame if you like that, but if you come here, expect genuine italian food. If pink wines take your fancy, try the Juliet sweet red, absolutely fantastic, and low alcohol too, so great if you need to drive! I also recommend the red blend, it won't be like any red you've had before as it has muscat in it, gives it a lovely caramel flavour. Io sono così innamorato di questo posto!
  • Good food and wine. Love this place.
  • Used to be good when restaurant was a la carte but now it's like a sausage factory You can get better pizzas anywhere Dissapointing using location to get people in and out fast
