Sea World Theme Park, Gold Coast

3.5
Theme Park · Aquarium
Not to be confused with the SeaWorld chain in the United States, Australia's Sea World Theme Park offers a mix of massive marine animal exhibits, dazzling shows, and thrilling rides. See how dolphins care for their young at the Dolphin Nursery Pool, observe penguins on land and underwater at Penguin Encounter, and get up close with sharks at Shark Bay. Polar Bear Shores serves as Australia's only polar-bear exhibit, and Ray Reef contains over 100 rays for you to feed. The seal show has an engaging storyline with both seals and humans acting it out. The rides area includes both thrilling roller coasters such as Sea Viper and children's adventure areas like Beach Break Bay. • The Paw Patrol and TMNT live shows were a hit with my 6 year old son. He also enjoyed the kids rides. $8 for a popcorn does my head in though.  more »
  • A great place to visit if you have young children, there’s a lot here for them. Also, if you want to see marine animals this is nice. The park is a bit dated but looks like there’s a lot of...  more »
  • Very disappointing visit. I used my Gold Coast holiday voucher which meant we received half price entry but that was still too expensive at $50 for a day visit (and $45 for pensioner mother). A lot....  more »

  • Very memorable experience. I would go here again any day. Great place to take a family and the atmosphere was very happy. Did the tropical reef snorkel and was very impressed. Amazing how you can get so close to the animals in the water. Highly recommend doing the snorkel and highly recommend coming here if you are in the area.
  • Great shows, the whole family enjoyed them though they were aimed for kids. Wasn’t so crowded which us another reason for enjoying it. The rides lines were not long and mainly aimed for little ones except the coaster. The jellyfish place was amazing. Highly recommended.
  • today i took my autistic son on his first ever trip to Sea World whilst on his first holiday. the staff were very kind and super helpful in making sure his first time was great. thank you to the woman who took the time to assist in determining what rides would best be suited for him. my son left smiling and laughing and said yes to going back on future holidays to Queensland.
  • Fabulous live shows. It is amazing to watch the dolphin and seals perform. The rides are great and keep getting better. The kids ride section is much improved since last time. It's on par with Movie World, if not better. It'll be great to see what Atlantis looks like when it's completed. I wish they would fix the monorail. I understand it's not a major draw card for crowds so money is possibly spent better elsewhere.
  • Great place to visit if you like wild life and animals. Petting areas for the rays was great. The jellyfish enclosure was magical experience especially for young ones. We were lucky enough to see the king penguins being fed too. Worth a visit. Plan to stay at least a full day.
