  • Most pleasurable wine tasting experience with expert knowledge of not only the wines but also the locals and the area. We had so much laughter with Sam and another couple we only met 10 minutes prior ...  more »
  • A really lovely place to visit. Friendly helpful staff, interesting bits and pieces for sale and a great cafe where we had a lovely lunch! Highly recommend a visit :)
  • Took visitors from the UK for lunch and wine tastings. If you like reds try the deer stalker and the port is $2 a tasting but well worth it.

  • Small and cosy family owned winery. The highlight are tawneys (i. e. The Generations) with good variety of bulk tawneys for filling up your own barrel.
  • As an S.A. resident have watched Kies winery grow & develop a new location over many years. From the date Kies launched Heysen Gold (Non Sparkling white wine around late 1980's - early 1990's). The winery has moved upwards in time & location with the addition of a delightful spot for meals or a coffee & cake. The atmosphere of this family winery is akin to non. A wonderful selection of red, white, sparkling wines and also fortified styles to suit most palettes. Highly recommend.
  • Barossa & Light Cab Service love Kies Family Wines, and rate it 5 out of 5 stars, because here there is more than just wine tasting, there is also a quaint cottage tea shop and the Monkey Nut Cafe.. This is a favourite winery of the Barossa & Light Cab Service because of the Sparkling Shiraz, which we buy either at the Cellar Door or at a local Barossa bottle shop on a very regular basis. We like Kies because it is a fun, feel good place to be, and with the cellar door open 7 days a week, and the family tradition, it is a 'must-do' destination for both tourists and locals. The staff make everyone feel very welcome, and the next time you are driving past, definately drop in to Kies Family Wines.
  • Had an awesome wine tasting and bought two bottles while on holiday to bring home for my family. Just opened one of these and everybody love it. It's a shame I can't get them in Switzerland ;)
