There are a number of well-marked trails to choose from on this island, which is only 11 km (6.8 mi) long and 2 km (1.2 mi) wide, with more than half of its area designated as a permanent park preserve. Hikers of all ages and fitness levels can enjoy these guided walks, ranging from light strolls, to moderate cliff-top hikes, to challenging climbs to the top of Mount Gower which, rising to 875 m (2,871 ft), is the highest point on the island.   • I managed to walk a number of the trails, which had wonderful views, amazing vegetation, bird life and lots of exercise up hills and down hills. Some trails such as malabar and kyms lookout lead to no...  more »
  • No trail is exceptionally long, and with the exception of Mt Gower, all may be walked unaccompanied. Some are closed for the breeding season but there are always plenty of places to walk. 
  • these waking trails offers outstand views all over the island. Please be guided by the ratings of the walk in relation to your age some are quite difficult but let common sence be your guide.
