  • We went specifically to see the Tucker 48 that was on display but were very impressed by the rest of the museum. A broad selection of significant historic cars and motorcycles... This place is well worth a visit... they run themed displays that vary through the year so you never know what will be on show. Will surely visit again :)
  • Great cars and history from 1899 to 1980. Spectacular cars of the past. My personal favourite is 1937 SS100 Jaguar. Wow!
  • Great collection of cars with a changing display run by volunteers, but the $14 adult entrance fee is a bit steep.
  • Small but well presented collection of cars which changes on a regular basis. Well stocked merchandise shop.
  • A must see for anyone who likes cars.

Where to stay in Launceston

Many visitors to Launceston choose to settle into one of the area's spacious rental apartments, which offer large rooms and plenty of privacy. Equally comfortable, the city's centrally located four-star hotels include onsite restaurants and air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TVs and satellite channels. A less expensive alternative, Launceston's inns provide a convenient base for backpackers and causal travelers arriving without prior reservations. If you want something atmospheric and historical, look for guesthouses located in well-preserved Georgian and Victorian buildings.
