  • Yes, five minutes will be as long as you can spend there... after paying about $50 for a family! A complete rip off! A gold coin donation would be an acceptable entry price. The place also needs a goo...  more »

  • From the visit of the Australian Venom I'd strongly advise against zoos. It's totally not worth the price. If you lock up animals already, you should keep them not. The terrariums are sometimes too small. On the visitor, everything seems drab and depressing. You can see hardly anything because the terrariums are poorly placed and not well lit. Just next to the entrance there's some tiny container with spiders and so on. It's so dark, you even can see nothing more. Still, the spiny leaf insects which are exhibited in front of the entrance are the most interesting. But you need to pay no entrance fee.

  • My family and I went to this Zoo today and we were excited to see some reptiles in the flesh that we haven't before. The two ladies that took us on a tour and let us hold a snake out the front were brilliant!! They were full of knowledge and were extremely professional. The sad news is our experience was tainted by the owner. I think his name was Stu... He was publicly rude to both his employees. I'm confused as to why he did this in front of us, the customers when it could have been done in private. The girls were doing a great job and he had a 'power trip' and this almost ruined our experience. I would give 5 stars purely to the girls, and Stu gets one.
  • Rude and arrogant staff members lack knowledge of the reptiles on show enclosures were not clean (snake feces, snake shed). The whole shed smelf of the snake poo. Couldnt even tell that a snake was in the process of shedding ( eyes were cloudy)therefore snake was snappy.several enclosures were way to small for the snake that was in them regardless if it was for demonstration or not. Couldnt even see the turtle that was in a glass enclosure. Would not reccomend that you waste your money on the admission should be closed down
  • I really enjoyed my trip to the venom zoo. I'm from England and we have absolutely nothing like this. Some of the snakes there were very Interesting and rare. Included with the admission price you get a free photo with a snake. The spiders and scorpions were very cool. Definitely worth $10
  • The owner was extremely rude to my 9 yr old nephew who was excited to talk to someone else that loves reptiles, it is a dark and dingy barn with snakes held in enclosures are are far too small and not maintained with snakes shedded skin and poo left in the enclosure for at least the past 24 hours. I wouldn't recommend this as something to visit in Kuranda
  • Great experience, many awesome creatures to see, and you even get to hold a snake at the end!
