  • We arrived unannounced but were greeted with open arms after a winery made us pretty unwelcome so arrived early. We were greeted with open arms and given the right royal treatment. Our group loved eve...  more »
  • Traditional preparation of products derived from the distillation of eucalyptus. The farmer gives you a small initial talk about all the steps that perform on his holding to get to the final product. It is a good place to buy eucalyptus of the real candy.

  • From the animal farmer to the eucalyptus manufacturer. Who will be thrilled on Larry, owner meets. We ate here with our travel group for lunch. There were traditional dishes, including EMU sausages, Rosemary dumplings or carrot cake. That was all right. Then, Larry Turner has misled us. He did this with incredible passion, humor and a personal touch as I've seen it rarely tours. From his story that he dropped out of school at 14, to shear sheep, until hin listens to today's work in the distillery, looking forward to. Then you can be purchased for the own products and a lot more in the shop. While visiting, you can determine that's also a half is Museum. Ranging from the rusted first own trucks of old old scales, shearing machine, minerals, newspaper article in 1953 to an old coach or snake skins, there is much to discover.

  • The video was informative. And the staff are very knowledgeable
  • Great experience great range of products well worth calling in for a look around
  • Prices are moderate not too expensive but some thing are really overpriced. But nice location and good memorie.
  • Great range of products from local producers. Cider was very nice as well.
  • Loved watching the oil distilling process and marvelled at the variety of eucalyptus products available as a result of the process. The dining experience is pleasantly rustic and you can take in a selection of fabulous local art.

Where to stay in Kangaroo Island

Although most of Kangaroo Island remains relatively underdeveloped in a commercial sense, you'll find lodgings that include everything from spacious suites to economical hostels in communities like Penneshaw and Kingscote. The most expensive accommodations on the island, private cottages and beach houses near the water generally require a two-night minimum stay. For something more flexible and less expensive, consider one of the local campgrounds, many of which offer powered and unpowered sites, as well as cozy log cabins ideal for couples and families with kids.
