  • We tried a few routes and finally found the way to the lookout, which was pretty far. We didn't find a track that could get us closer and as it was raining that was the best we could do, a few signs w...  read more »
  • After a small search we found the rock. Unfortunately we were late and could not look up close. Nice how the sea clashing against the rocks different each time.

  • A very tranquil place and mystic on a grey day. The rock formation is very interesting and there are lots of little blue wren birds.
  • People have been trying to capture the perfect wild seascape image of the cathedral rocks since the 1890's.. It is a breathtaking sight.. When you sum up the wild sea crashing waves against the old volcanic rock formations that have been eroded into unique natural towers of rock art... It is hard to take your eyes away... Access to viewing the cathedral rocks can be from within the car if you stop the car just at the start of the dip in the road, on cliff drive right after you drive past the last house on the street.. On the top of the grassy hill there you will find trails from people trekking down the hill towards the steep cliff.. Reaching the flatter coastal rocks of the cathedral rock area is possible but you have to hike down the ruggered steep terrain.. can be a difficult hike down depending which trail you take from the top of the hills... when the ocean tide is high with large waves, this area may be wet & slippery or partially submerged by the sea. If you want a real close view of the cathedral rocks... It may be an easier option if you park at the last car park bay at jones beach & follow the trails on the grassy area at the top of the hill or just walk along the curve of the sandy beach till you reach the rocky coastal area of the cathedral rocks section; and do a light hike during low tide on the flat rocks till you have a great view of the natural cathedral rock formations.
  • Stunning spot best at sunrise but we could also get some nice shots at sunset. Even better from the nearby cave! Sooo beautiful.
  • Cathedral Rocks is a unique rock formation at the southern end of Jones' Beach, just north of Kiama. The rock formation is a very popular sunrise photographer's subject matter. It can be accessed by foot best at low tide.
  • An amazing spot to visit and photographs, anyway I think the point on google maps is wrong, couldn't find the right one
  • It's pretty awesome, especially during the sunset.
