  • Crossed the Yarra on Kanes bridge and strolled over to the Boathouse. Brekky menu stops at noon and we didn't want a full on lunch so I ordered 2 bacon and egg muffins with coffee and a cake. Service ...  more »
  • Lovely spot along the Yarra for people watching or have a bite to eat. Very relaxing atmosphere. Can be very busy on a warm sunny day.  more »

  • Very pleasant setting for a cafe, though it could offer a better selection. There are row boats available for rent which you can take on the river, and plenty of walking and cycling trails, plus off street parking. A good place to bring dogs and children, where they can run around.
  • Great food great location. Recommend a walk along the Yarra after lunch
  • Lovely mid morning spot for brunch and a drift on the river. Great coffee, but menu could be a little more extensive
  • Little gem of a picnic spot within Melbourne. You can hire boats for 1-5 people starting from half hour rentals. We had a lovely picnic overlooking the river and bridge. My only qualm is the lack of life guards around the area; one of our rented canoes capsized (luckily near a bank) and no staff available to help them get out of the water. They arrived only after one of the canoe riders ran back (Drenched) to the boat house to inform them of what happened. It was pretty scary for those involved and hopefully a call for some form of security when it comes to renting out boats to strangers with or without any former knowledge of boating. Life jackets are provided, so that was a good thing. Gorgeous place and shall definitely go back again :)
  • its so so good to get off the roads and into tranqil natural environment in amongst ducks and birds on the river while kayaking so close to the city ; you little beauty!!!!!!
