#2 of 6 in Parks in Katoomba
Situated within the Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park, Wentworth Falls is the largest waterfall in the region, featuring two drops. The waterfall is near several aboriginal sites estimated at being around 20,000 years old. A lake formed by the cascading waterfall is a popular picnic spot, located just a short walk from the nearby village. You can swim or join the Darwin's Walk tour, named after Charles Darwin, who visited and researched the area. Be prepared for a lot of steps on the various walks offered, which can take you to the waterfall or to the nearby viewing platform. These steep trails are meant for all fitness levels, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Add Wentworth Falls and other attractions to your Katoomba trip itinerary using our Katoomba travel app .

If you've already seen the other views on this side, then I would skip them. Waterfall was not particularly.

And a waterfall's height is only seen from the gondola's, so big you can see. Next time I take a look at walking, I want to go close to the falls. That should be worth.

The view from the first waterfall is really garet but the second and the third view which is really 1 hours of walking down from the first waterfall is really great. The beauty and the tranquility of the waterfall is breathtaking. Best place to go outing which is really near and worth visiting from the city!

Highly recommended. If you can I suggest going down to the bottom of the fall. It's a bit of a way down but worth it. Just keep going past the section with the stone stepping blocks and metal railing and to your right past the rocket path. Follow the stairs down and along the cliff until you hit the bottom.

The most beautiful place I have been. Amazing views. Great walks. We preferred here to the busy blue mountains attraction.

Superb views and big challenge for this 52yr old bloke...200mtr drop to falls base down the steepest stairs that are nearly 30cm high! Loved it!
