Waterfall
Situated within the Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park, Wentworth Falls is the largest waterfall in the region, featuring two drops. The waterfall is near several aboriginal sites estimated at being around 20,000 years old. A lake formed by the cascading waterfall is a popular picnic spot, located just a short walk from the nearby village. You can swim or join the Darwin's Walk tour, named after Charles Darwin, who visited and researched the area. Be prepared for a lot of steps on the various walks offered, which can take you to the waterfall or to the nearby viewing platform. These steep trails are meant for all fitness levels, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes. • Definitely worth the day out to the falls! Peaceful and relaxing. Abit of hiking involved but nothing the average person can't handle. Furber steps definitely worth the hike down!  more »

  • Really good place to go for a trek.. good for people of all fitness levels.... Must go for a trek... Go down the steps and you will be rewarded with the amazing views of the falls.... Views will be fresh in your memory for a very long time...
  • Great walk down! A little changeling on the way back up. Lots of stairs and some are steep. Take a water bottle and a hat. You will see some little waterfalls on your way. Great day out!
  • Good stuff walk, easily accessible all stairs though quite steep. The climb done is easy the up not so much. Worth the trip to the bottom it is stunning especially when warm. A swim in those pools would be delish!
  • If you are a photographer or just enjoy nature and waterfalls you absolutely can't miss this place. So many hikes and beautiful scenery to photograph.
  • Walk from the train station and not a trek all the way to the waterfall. Along the moderate level Darwin track to the waterfall directly. Don't stop your step going down, you'll be rewarded a great view from the valley bottom.
