  • Super views from the plane. The roads were closed so only way to see them. Really great way to do it but a bit expensive at €240 per head. Well worth it as you get to see so much.
  • Did Twin falls and Jim Jim falls as a one day trip in August 2016 - summer time. The unsurfaced road from Coonida to Jim JIm is badly corrugated - 45 minutes of rough bone jarring ride. From Jim Jim t...  more »
  • Access to the falls is 6 kms after the Jim Jim creek crossing (the water is deep it takes a high 4 x 4). Then take a small boat that goes back to the Gorge. The end is done on foot. The site is wild and really pretty. Even if the water flow is not huge, we can see two twin falls down on the almost black rock. Attention here we do not bathe because of the crocodiles.

  • A beautiful spot with falls trickling in late-dry season. Beautiful river with crystal clear water, but often contains salt crocs so no swimming. Fun 4wd track to reach site including deep creek crossing of 0.8m!!
  • We hiked both to the top and by the cruise to the bottom. It was very worth the hike, so beautiful. You cannot swim there not only because there might be crocs but also to respect it is a sacred place for the abriginals.
  • A great place to visit. If you can drive in via your 4x4 you will enjoy the drive. Ask around if you can swim, when I was here I couldn't as there was a salty around. Was hard as the water was just there and it was so hot. I really enjoyed this place. Very scenic.
