  • Road leads first to an appointed observation platform overlooking a body of water covered with aquatic plants then there is a pleasant walk (very well marked) 3 kms on a spit of land along the same plane of water, in the middle of the pandanus and eucalyptus. The place is very nice and especially many birds: Ibis black neck, camptorhynchus lunules, large egrets, intermediate herons, jacanas in crete, taleves sultanas, pie egrets, Black Swans, cormorants pie, red anhinga, semipalmees take, Plover milan, cockatoo to yellow crest, diamonds to long tail, plus all those we have not identified. It smelled really the spring when our passage with the beginning of flowering trees. A very nice walk. Remember to take a little water and a repellent for insects.

  • Great viewing platform out of the harsh sun. Suggest you time the 3 km lake walk to complete before 10 am so you dont get sizzled. Kakadu Bird Week is 5 star
