  • Approximately 30 minutes from Hobart to the Southwest. The big old warehouse on the A line 6 (Huon Highway, aka gourmet road) along the right side is Will Smiths Apple Shed Heritage Museum. Equipment related to the Apple industry, such as sorting machines, fruit machine, Calvados distillers in a large warehouse, and about 400 varieties of apples are exhibited. In the hotel's café & bar Cider, of course, eat snacks.

  • We stopped in for a bite of lunch and a cider. Food is very good! Tasting paddle of ciders was very nice sitting in the sun on the deck. We didn't get to visit the Apple Museum as we were too busy tas...  more »

  • Really nice vibe. A bit on the rustic hipster side, which is great as there's not a lot of that on offer in Tassie. You can tell a lot of effort and craft has gone into this venue's design. Great food and drinks on offer, too.
  • Definitely worth the drive! Expect a restricted, simple but spot on selection of dishes for dinner generous portions. Delicious beverages, an impressive dessert selection and the space is just amazing, buzzing on weekend nights, kids love the outdoor space for running around. A favourite! I need to come back to sample the charcuterie once the French chef has started producing the goods!
  • What a surprise this place is! Stop the car and come around the back of the shed, where a whole new world opens up to you. There is an apple museum, a cafe serving delicious food, and a bar serving wonderful cider. The decor inside the shed is great and the variety of apple types on show is amazing.
  • The museum is a great concept. Never imagined there were so many varieties of apples. The apple pie was awesome, but the ice cream(I guess Apple ice cream) was beyond awesome.
  • Great atmosphere, and good food and awesome cider.
