Blaxland Riverside Park Reviews
We didn't get to this park as there doesn't seem to be any easy way by public transport. We asked at Sydney transport office and they couldn't find any option that didn't involve a min 15 walk. more »
We called in here briefly to have a look around. We were soooo impressed by the immense range of activities on hand.. flying fox, climbing walls for varied abilities, swings, a lookout & so much more.... more »
Took 4 kids (8-12) for a ride and a play at Riverside Park. Good range of activities and different degrees of riding. Lots of BBQ's and open green space. Good day out. more »
Very nice park. Amazing play equipment and a very nice walk by the water. Unfortunately, parking is near impossible during busy periods. We tried to go here once and ended up giving up trying to find a parking spot and left. The second time, the same thing happened and we ended up parking about 1.5 km away.
If you are having a birthday party here, you would need to get up early to stake out at your intended location, otherwise spots get taken up quick. The artificial hills are fun to navigate. There is a lot of open space for ball activities. However, the last times I was there, the things that usually protrude from the hill to climb up are missing meaning there is really not much climbing for older kids apart from the wooden tower which gets boring after a few tries. The major issue is parking. Again, if you cannot get there sufficiently early, you will have a headache trying to find parking. There are next to no public transport options to get you directly there.
Nice for kids. Plenty of playing area and lots of swing and water fountain. Good picnic area and barbecue facilities. Lots of place place for parking and plenty of open area to just relax.
Good area for kids. Good cafes along the river. Very hard to find parking but....
Great playground for the kids. Very unique. Parking very hard to get on the weekend.
