Founded by an ex-convict in 1832, Cascade Brewery represents the oldest still-operating brewery in the country. Set against the backdrop of a snowcapped mountain and surrounded by lush gardens, the brewery draws clean water from a nearby cascade for its brewing process. Join a tour to learn all about beer-making, and then reap your rewards with a tasting at the end. Pay attention to the label of the brewery's premium lager, depicting the extinct Tasmanian tiger. • Stopping to have a look and a beer or cider, is a must. If you like to look at historic buildings, and gardens this is very nice. Great photos The food was nice too
  • When we arrived we were told there was a power problem and the tours were not running. When we asked when things might be up and running again the guy said I have no idea
  • Fantastic! Loved it. Great staff. We had a bloke named Sam. Super friendly, relaxed and very informative. Great history about the factory. And free beer at the end!!
  • Being a sunday the production line was shut, but the tour guide took us into the plant and provided some good info. 30$ sounded alrite when they handed 4 trading coupons though 😀
  • We did a tour of the brewery and our guide was very knowledgeable. It was a little disappointing that the bottling room was not operating but the tastings after made up for it. Would definitely recommend the slow cooked beef in stout hotpot abd the stout ice cream! The bar gad a grest atmosphere and tge gardens outside are beautiful.
  • Brilliant if you're in Hobart and looking for something to do! Joel took everyone around the brewery and answered our questions in great depth. The Cascade brewery tour includes tokens for four free drinks which we got to pour ourselves. Ange in the bar kept an eye on us at all times to make sure we were doing alright.
  • Beautiful spot, gorgeous garden, helpful staff, tasty food, ok prices and fun beer pouring contest!!! Unfortunately didn't manage to do a tour but had a great time at the bar with some tasting paddles and nachos.
