  • So loved our visit to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. What a special place. Got to see exactly what I was hoping for Tasmanian Devil, Wombat, Koala, kangaroos and some beuatiful birds. Great information ...  more »
  • We took 2 overseas visitors to Bonorong. We were a bit disappointed that the advertised discount on RACT website no longer applies (that should be updated!). The entry is $30 per adult and $16 per chi...  more »

  • Definitely come here! What a fantastic experience!!! The staff members were lovely and informative. The sanctuary itself was so much fun to visit. We arrived right before it opened. Good thing because we saw the wombats walking around and they were curious about us. The later it got, the warmer it got and the wombats went to find a cool place to rest, making it difficult to see them. The kangaroo area was AMAZING!! They roam freely and we fed a bunch (both adults and young ones)! I recommend the tour of wombats, Tasmanian Devils and and koalas at 11:30.
  • Very nice people. It was cold when we went so many of the animals were snuggled in there nests. But we still had a great time. We would definitely go back.
  • It is great to get up close and personal with native Australian animals but is it good for the kangaroos to be fed and handled all day long by the visiting public? The animal Hospital is intriguing and visitors are able to watch procedures carried out by a vet through a one way glass. Why then did the vet fit with her back to the glass completely blocking the view for curious children and others who wanted to watch? Very puzzling
  • This place is great! A wildlife sanctuary just outside of Hobart. You get to come up and close to Australia's most famous wildlife, from hand feeding it's many many kangaroos to seeing emus, wombats and Tasmanian devils this place showcases everything you need to know about Australian Bush wildlife. The tours which take 45 minutes are also very worthwhile, with guides being very knowledgeable and passionate about protecting these animals. They even have an animal Hospital on site and are willing to go rescue animals you find day or night. All proceeds from ticket sales goes towards helping the fine folk @bonorong help animals
  • Paid a visit with my son this past December and it was a definite highlight from our trip down under! Paul was exceptional in his knowledge of the animals and genuinely concerned with our interests and helping us get the most out of the experience! Highly recommend!
