Amazing just amazing. What a collection of 60+ original buildings. So authentic. Situated in green rolling lawns on a river. Just special. So glad took the time out to visit. You will need a whole day... more »

This place is an absolute must see. It is fantastic showing us what it would have been like in our early history with such an array of equipment etc. It bought back so many memories and it is beautifully displayed, so clean, no dust and the best part of all we were able to take our dog on a lead. They are made most welcome. The scones & coffe and our camp oven damper & stew for lunch was delicious. 10 out of 10
Worth every cent of the entrance fee. Fantastic insight into the history of the Herberton area. We have spent the morning here and have only seen half of the exhibits. We will keep going after a stew and damper lunch with billy tea.
Fantastic village full of history and equipment which covers a great deal of Australian history. Something for everyone, man woman and children. Fantastic Devonshire coffee. Old, but extraordinarily clean and well preserved. A must see for anyone who is nearby or visiting.
You really have to come & see this amazing historical village to believe it. Take the option of returning for 2 extra days free of charge as you can't do it all properly in 1 day. The admission fee is very reasonable for what is on offer.
Our visit to this village was fantastic...I would recommend that all should visit this wonderfully presented step back in history, but do allow sufficient time to look around & enjoy all there is to see (& don't forget your camera.)
