  • We loved looking around this village. Fascinating place to explore. Lots of collections and information. The place was very well maintained with very friendly staff. Well worth the trip.
  • We were visiting our sons family in cairns and on the spur of the moment decided on a trip to Herberton historical village. We are delighted to say we all had a great day.
  • Just shows you what happens if your collecting gets out of control. What happens if you start off collecting old buildings. You need stuff to go in them to make them relevant. So you end up with rows ...  more »

  • To be honest I thought this was going to be lame but I was wrong. If you like history and museums THIS place is for you. We didn't have enough time to see everything so make sure you plan a full day to walk around. Eat at the tearoom! Delicious! DO NOT miss the old cars. Sooo cool! Glad we got out even for a couple hours. Only complaint is if you are open until 5 - have people there all day instead of close things at 3 and 4. That was disappointing. And have someone to answer history questions about the buildings and such. Worth the time to go!
  • This place is seriously mind boggling and the range of memorabilia here is unbelievable. You can easily spend all day. An absolute credit to the owners and everyone involved in the maintenance and upkeep. A must-see!
  • A nice little town worth spending at least 2-3 hours at. The food available was a bit last century though, maybe to match the historic theme!
  • Interesting, educational and entertaining. Good food and drinks in the cafe too.
  • Very pleasant way to spend the day. If it's hot use the umbrella provided and take plenty of water. Very dog friendly. Lovely meal at the cafe and reasonably priced.
