  • Terribly rude service. No sooner had we sat down was our food on the table. Rushed out the door. Made to preorder food because the kitchen wanted to close. Food - some meals like the pork loin were nice. Other items were mediocre at best. We had heard this place was good. Did not live up to it.
  • Well worth the stroll throughout the house and grounds. Loved the history.
  • Loved our visit, put this one on your list!
  • A bit biased as I want to live with you hundred metres away. But it beautiful place to visit and have morning tea for all tourists
  • Wonderful Old World grounds

Where to stay in Launceston

Many visitors to Launceston choose to settle into one of the area's spacious rental apartments, which offer large rooms and plenty of privacy. Equally comfortable, the city's centrally located four-star hotels include onsite restaurants and air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TVs and satellite channels. A less expensive alternative, Launceston's inns provide a convenient base for backpackers and causal travelers arriving without prior reservations. If you want something atmospheric and historical, look for guesthouses located in well-preserved Georgian and Victorian buildings.
