Trip Planner: South Pacific / Australia / South Australia / Barossa Valley / Greenock / Kalleske Wines
In South Australia’s Barossa Valley, the Kalleske family have been farming and growing grapes since 1853 on their family estate at Greenock. After six generations of growing grapes, winemaker and seventh generation family member, Troy Kalleske, together with his brother Tony, established the Kalleske winery and made the first ‘Kalleske’ wine. The vineyard is low yielding with grapes grown organically and biodynamically and the winery is also certified biodynamic/organic. Wines from Kalleske have been seven generations in the making, but they are certainly worth the wait!Plan my day in Greenock using traveler tips and tourist information provided by Inspirock.

Was an added experience to be served by the great granddaughter and meet the great grandson on cellar door. Love the kalleske wines and can not wait for the delivery to arrive
Nice cellar door and a decent range of quality wine, some to quaff and some to put aside for an occasion.
When we hear the name Greenock from now on we will instantly say Kalleske!!! My partner and I saw the offer for self contained vehicles to camp at the Greenock oval for a small nightly donation and since we wanted to visit the Barossa this seemed like an excellent opportunity. We wandered the town during the evening we arrived and noticed the Kalleske Cellar door just outside the entry lane, so we returned the next afternoon see what was available. We enjoyed a tasting hosted by Kelly who was on her 4th day on the job. Kelly was/is excellent. Her knowledge was incredible and we both enjoyed our afternoon. The wine was so captivating we returned a few days later to sample the ‘local produce’ platter. Wow, so good when paired with a bottle of Kalleske wine - any bottle is ok as they’re all delicious. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed four (4 😊!!) platters over the next week or so and felt very appreciated and appreciative of Kelly and Alex (Alex is the other ‘expert’ behind the counter). We couldn’t recommend Kalleskes’ highly enough. Tony and Troy make one of the best wines we’ve ever enjoyed. We met Troy and he is such a down to earth genuine guy we felt so much at home just ‘chilling’. Greenock, Kalleske and the whole ambiance of our ~week were just ‘the best’. Will we return? No prizes for getting that answer correct. Thank you Kalleske wines and a big thank you to Alex and Kelly for being so genuine, honest and professionally friendly. J&J 😊🍷
Beautiful range of wines, fabulous host - Alex! Thanks! We can't wait for our wine delivery to qld!
