Winery / Vineyard · Hidden Gem · Food & Drink
Hosted cellar door sessions with Joe the owner, winemaker and vineyard hand, who just happen to be the same person all rolled into one. Informative, informal but please book so we can plan our day as we are a working vineyard.

Seasonal produce also available for purchase.

  • An incredibly memorable tasting. Beautifully complex wines enjoyed in the humorous company of Joe. All four of us left the tasting very very happy!  more »
  • Ballycroft Winery is one of my top favorite wineries to visit! This is a strong statement coming from someone that lives so far away in Texas, and has visited many wineries around the world! My wife.....  more »

  • One of my absolute favourite wineries, call up or drop in for an unforgettable tasting experience with the winemaker himself. Joe's passion and skill in crafting the wines certainly shows through with his massive reds which are among the best in the Barossa. And definitely try/buy his bacon jam and durif sauce, delicious!
  • Joe the winemaker is an entertainer and his wines are unmatched by any other big red in the region. Throughout our trip, we did all the big wineries that you’re supposed to do, all the big brands. Time after time we were met with employees that were certainly knowledgeable, but they can’t match Joe’s passion for his product. Sitting down with Joe and tasting his wares was the best experience we had in the Barossa. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This is an experience not to be missed, but remember to call ahead before visiting.
  • Really enjoyed meeting Jo and tasting his excellent wines and hearing about the making of the wine. Really loved both big Shiraz wines and it was hard to choose what to buy! Great experience! Thank you.
  • Keep making wines the same way Joe. We love them!
  • A small cellar door with fantastic single vineyard wines. About 260kg per acre produced of small berry Shiraz and Cabernet. Enthusiastic wine maker/owner will give you a great tasting experience.
