  • The gardens are easily accessible with a visit to Mount Lofty. There are two main entrances one at the top of the gardens, and one at the bottom of the gardens. We used the top entrance which gave us ...  more »

  • Very beautiful botanical garden, well maintained, clean, convenient access, large garden with a wide range of plant species. Great for light hiking with kids. Perfect for picnic, tables are available if needed but obviously plenty of green space to eat on the floor. Small coffee place but I don't think this is always open. Toilet available at different locations. Spring and Autumn are the best seasons to go.
  • Such a beautiful place with lots of different areas to explore. Perfect for light hiking and exploration, a picnic or just for some fresh air. Close enough to the city to make it an easy weekend activity. A great place to visit at different times of the year to see the changing flowers and foliage.
  • We visit the gardens a few times a year, particularly in Autumn to catch the beautiful autumn colours. Spring this year was also a wonderful time to visit - everything so green. It's a tranquil place and very refreshing to spend time here. We usually enter via the lower entrance as this gives easy walks and lovely views. There are more challenging gully walks if you are able (not for the frail). All in all... A beautiful place to visit, away from the city. Highly recommended.
  • This is an enchanting spot in Adelaide. You can visit this place throughout the year and it is always nice. Every season has its own beauty. Plenty of spots to picnic, you find amazing trees all around giving you pleasant shade to spend time chatting, reading or eating with your friends and family. Car park and toilets available too.
  • Had a fantastic birthday party for a one year old in the lower car park grounds. Plenty of grass to run on, a great hill to run up & down & there was good shade under the trees. It was mid 30s by lunchtime. A wedding that was scheduled to be held in the top car park on the hill found that it was too hot & no shade up there .so asked us when we were finishing so they could use the area we were in. It worked out fine for them as we were just winding up. Think of the weather when you are planning a wedding. The Botanic gardens were closed 2 or 3 days before due to severe šŸ”„bushfire warnings. Don't let your wedding plans go up in smoke
