Grampians Estate, Great Western

#5 of 21 in Wineries in Grampians
Must see · Winery / Vineyard · Food & Drink
Grampians Estate has emerged as one of the Grampians region’s premier boutique wineries. With its elegant cool-climate shiraz and sparkling shiraz leading the way, the winery produces a wide range of award-winning wines.

Sarah and Tom Guthrie have developed the brand over 20 years since the first vines were planted in 1989. Their passion has resulted in a ‘5 red star’ rating from James Halliday (top 4% in Australia) and 30 trophies for their wines since 2002.

  • A well designed and inviting cellar door with an excellent cheese platter kept us tasting here longer than we expected. The wine is excellent I must admit I enjoyed it so much I stopped spitting and.....  more »
  • Definitely worth a stop. As novices to wine tasting, we appreciated that staff took us through an informative and delicious wine tasting experience. The cheese plate included jams, jellies and cheeses that we had never paired before! Knowledgeable, hospitable and great customer service.
  • Racist staff made fun of me when I said I'm not a wine person by saying "oh you are not a white person" and laugh out loud. I find that was very inappropriate and it was a racist comment. Even though I if she misheard "wine person" as "white person", she shouldn't make fun of it by laughing out loud in front of everybody. Plus what has it got to do with white person and wine? They are not related..
  • Found this place 7th January 2019 , great wines ( sparkling rose ) superb, lovely lady Jocelyn serving, tasted 12 wines all good some better than others , cheese platter and tasting platter really good , drop in if your on the A8 Victoria
  • Great place to stop even if your just wanting Coffee & Roasted Sweet Potato Quiche Served With Hot Rhubarb Relish. Beautifully renovated with indoor and outdoor seating. Wine Tasting next time…
  • Loved this place! We had a lovely wine tasting experience with Mich, who was funny, friendly, and knowledgeable. She shared the history of the area and the winery and walked us through each one of the wines. They had a wide range of sparkling, reds, whites, and dessert wines, so there's likely everyone can find something they like. We liked most of their wines and we thought they were reasonable priced, plus they had a discount if you bought 6+ bottles. And they had a selection of very yummy snacks, in case you needed a quick bite. This is a great place and would highly recommend stopping by when heading up to the Grampians or on your way back to Melbourne.
