Australian Reptile Park brings you to reptile and wildlife paradise. Get up close to the animals: See the giant 165 kg (363 lbs) Galapagos tortoise, pet a possum, and hand-feed the kangaroos. You can also watch the alligator feeding at the lagoon and wildlife shows starring Burmese pythons and dingoes. Head to the snake and venom collection to learn about production of antivenin used for saving lives. Don’t miss a chance to see one of largest diplodocus replicas and Elvis the crocodile, dubbed the zoo’s unhappiest resident, since an attack on park staff and their lawnmower left him with two lost teeth. My son and his friend completed the Kids 2 Keeper course. Not only did they have a jam packed fun filled day, they came away with an amazing amount of knowledge. All the staff made them feel comfortab... more »

Had the day off from work so we decided to take a trip to the Reptile Park at Gosford as we haven’t been there for years. The last time we were there they were situated at Narara. Was an easy drive up... more »

Really great park for family adventures. The size of the park means that toddlers can easily manage the walking, bigger kids can look at their favourite animals without mum and dad having to be with them every minute and there is plenty of time to watch the shows and wander around the park. The only downside was the kiosk. The food was very basic and had little nutritional value...mostly hot dogs and chips. However, the picnic areas are plentiful which would make for a better alternative. Overall we had an excellent day and will definitely return.

Great for a family day out but take your own food as expensive and limited range. Sandwiches hot chips sausage rolls, prefab cakes. Animals are wonderful -birds, reptiles, spifers, frogs and more. Free animal educational shows. Lovely staff. Playground

I've visited the place a lot over the last 15+ years and recently have found it to be an excellent place to take the kids for a day out. You'll get to see lots of native Australian animals as well as some exotic species (it's mostly reptiles and spiders that are exotic). There are educational talks about several of the animals, and of course the main reptile show where a presenter will show and talk about several different animals. Don't forget to check out the Platypusary, Eric's Nature Walk, and the Nocturnal House. You can bring your own food and drinks, but there is also a cafe that sells some hot & cold food, cold drinks, coffee & tea, and light snacks. Beware though, kangaroos and emus wander about in the main park area and *will* try to get at your food and won't be shy about trying to grab it out of your hands, off the table, or even out of your bag. Feel free to shoo them away though. If you don't want to deal with that, there's an undercover area with picnic tables in between the crocodile exhibit and the kids playground that the roaming animals can't get to. The playground isn't large, but large enough to keep the kids entertained while you sit down and have a break/drink/lunch/snooze ;).

Beautiful natural surroundings with lots of opportunity to get up close to free range kangaroos and baby emus. Watch your lunch! The animals are relaxed yet active and the Keepers are happy to share what they know about their furry and feathered friends. A lovely day out.

Good family day. Take packed lunch. Ask for Tim, kids will love it if he's available. Wasn't on day but sent postcard to kids in mail. Best bloke going!
