Australian Reptile Park, Gosford

4.4
Australian Reptile Park brings you to reptile and wildlife paradise. Get up close to the animals: See the giant 165 kg (363 lbs) Galapagos tortoise, pet a possum, and hand-feed the kangaroos. You can also watch the alligator feeding at the lagoon and wildlife shows starring Burmese pythons and dingoes. Head to the snake and venom collection to learn about production of antivenin used for saving lives. Don’t miss a chance to see one of largest diplodocus replicas and Elvis the crocodile, dubbed the zoo’s unhappiest resident, since an attack on park staff and their lawnmower left him with two lost teeth. • Such a great reptile park!! The Staff were so friendly and very informative. 1 staff member in particular went out of his way to explain the animals to us. The animals were awesome! I will be back! :)
  • A truly Australian experience. While small in comparison to other zoos this is a great place to see animals of Australia up close and personal. Well maintained grounds with good pathways between areas. Plenty of areas to sit and have a picnic with tables and seats. Great place to take the family for a fun day out.
  • A great reptile and Australian animal park. Extremely friendly, and engaging staff. Ranger Mick does an amazing job of entertaining and engaging with audiences. Very clean enclosures and a great atmosphere. Didn't sample the food though!
  • Fantastic time had. Went in the afternoon and was not mega busy which we loved. Reptile and dingo show were very informative. Kangaroos roaming around was an awesome experience. Staff are very passionate warm and humourous in their talks. Lots of seating and shade which is necessary in these parts. Phone battery died and staff called me a taxi no worries. Would come back again for sure with some kiddies. Plenty of alligators kangaroos ostriches and all kinds of lizards snakes and birds to gawk at.
  • Not a bad park. I'd say about 3 hours of stuff to do. The presentations are very interesting and it's a good family thing to do. The picnic area has free roaming kangaroos and emus you can see, though the emus seem happy to try to snag your food from you, so be careful!
