Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures Reviews
It doesn't seem quite as awesome as it was when I was a kid, the horses are getting a bit tired & it's getting more & more expensive. No matter how many times I tell them I've been riding since I was ... more »
My wife and I have been coming to Glenworth Valley for 20 years. Last week my daughter 13yo and I did the quad bikes and horse riding and had a 10 out of 10 day. A massive shout out to HAYLEY who is a... more »
I booked a hours riding activity via phone after answering all the questions about my height and weight to make sure our booking is secured. A day after, on Dec 30th, my last day in Sydney’s trip, we ... more »
I have taken the 2 hour horse ride at Glenworth twice before and would definitely recommend. This place is family friendly and so are the trail rides. Absolutely loved it and will be back again soon.
I went there today for the tough mudder challenge. This place is pretty cool! I'm looking forward to come back for camping and to do any of the different activities they offer, but just the general look of the farm is worth the travel there!
I was there today at 11am for a 1/1/2 hour horse ride and rang to get information about the ride as I am a nervous beginner and was told that you could ride at your own pace throughout the ride and this is also stated in your web site and you tube videos and that you cater for your customers needs which is why we came in the first place and when we arrived and our money was taken all that changed when the young man in the yard asked me what my preferences were and I told him I was a nervous rider and was terrified of heights and I requested a 14.2hh to 15hh horse which there were dozens of in the yard and what he gave me was a 18hh plus horse named cous cous which was the tallest horse by far in the yard, the horse was definitely a gentleman of a horse but his size terrified me and I asked the young man twice for a smaller horse and in the end he told me you get what horse you get and didn’t even look at me when saying this , it was obvious he was being a smart arse to me and did not want to accomodate at all cause I made a request and I feel had I not made that request, I would have got an average sized horse which is what everyone else in the group got and because of this I was nervous, uncomfortable and unable to enjoy the ride because of my fear of heights also after we started our ride we were told that we have to trot on this ride and when I told them that we were informed that we could go at our own pace we were told that we have to run and we were mis informed, this situation was an easy fix for your staff and because no one accomodated I will never return to your riding school and if your a nervous beginner I would definitely not recommend going to Glenworth Valley riding school .
Great venue, has always been a pleasant place for a ride, albeit very expensive. The horses seem to be rotated regularly so as not to get too bored. Most recently my fiance and her close friend (both very experienced riders) went for one of their frequent rides. They would usually tack up their own horses and take unguided rides as they knew the grounds well, had all their own riding gear and never had a problem. This recent booking, paid for ahead of the day, was to be the last. My fiance is a nurse and was held up with a patient who had encountered problems. Nonetheless, she would have been there in good time if not for the heavy traffic on Pennant Hills Rd, (no surprises there) and made contact with her friend who was already there ahead of time twice. Unfortunately by the time she arrived (bearing in mind, they tack their own horses and don't need a guide) they were told they had missed their booking. So, they asked about a refund, apparently not possible, a voucher for another day, again, told it was not possible even to just re-book was not possible. They were down $200 and these lousy people would not refund or re-book. Basically, Glenworth Valley Horseriding stole $200 from my fiance and her friend. When I found out I emailed them to find out what could be done and got a phone call back from a very polite and well spoken young lady claiming to be a manager who told me the same thing, except that she lied and told me they had tried to re-book for a later time. So, Glenworth Valley Horseriding is staffed by thieves and liars? I would strongly recommend finding another venue for your horseriding adventures, we certainly have and will NEVER visit Glenworth Valley Horseriding again.
I can't even believe there are ratings below 5 star! We had such a wonderful day out there yesterday! Such a beautiful spot to relax and unwind from all the hustle and bustle. Horse riding was my favourite experience! The staff were beautiful ! I wouldn't go riding anywhere else! The only thing I'll complain about is how sore my legs and butt were when we got off haha! I am even considering horse riding lessons now!
