Charging $5pp for tasting is reasonable but this amount should come off any wine puchased like ALL other wineries. Well that wasn't the case over the weekend when i was charged the $10 tasting for my partner and I and then full (and expensive) price for the wine purchased. Avoid this place out of principle. I want my $10 back!!
We thought that it was a bit much to ask for $10 per wine tasting especially when they don't don't have a great selection to try. If you buy a wine they will give you $10 off the bottle if you've tasted but the wines are pricey!! The pizzas have very thin crust and are not worth $22 but were very tasty. The views are amazing and the staff friendly.
Yes, $10 pp to sample wines is outrageous. We chose to go to The Cosmopolitan in Trentham where you can sample local wines for free. We have very fond memories of this winery under the previous owners but now won't be back.
What a setting for a quiet lunch! Get a glass of mulled wine or just a regular wine and delicious wood fire pizza and overlook the dam and the gardens.
Such a lovely warm haven on a rainy winters day. Graham and Jenny were accommodating and very friendly. Enjoyed a great wine tasting with delicious wood fired pizza. Their dogs are adorable and very well behaved! Thanks for a lovely lunch - Chloe & David.
