  • Best steak sandwich we've ever had. We go there often just for lunch. Amazing views from the cafe and a nice walk along the dam wall although that can get hot in the middle of the day.

  • Pretty cool place. Nice little visitor centre with a bit of information and things for kids to play with. You can walk right down to the water very scenic and peaceful.
  • A fabulous nature's creation which has been harnessed for the water requirements of Gold Coast. A breathtaking water body surrounded by mountain ranges. An excellent place to spend a day with family.
  • Apart from being the location that supplies all our water on the Gold Coast, it is also an excellent location for visiting, especially if you are keen on hiking or maybe some water activities. Plus tje Hinze Dam has a welcoming cafe for soft beverages and snacks.
  • There is a decent coffee shop here, but since they have raised the height of the damn there is no longer any picnic areas, which is sad and a little stupid!
  • Nice walk across the dam. Nice reserves too.
