  • Every time I head to Geelong I make time to at the least visit the Carousel. I remember when it first opened and my father took my sister and I here, it was magical and still is today. This should be ...  more »
  • Been here lots and the kids have fun. Been for a wedding (not recommended on a hot day - a glass house and was very noisy with the helicopter flying around), been here for a kids party (was pretty goo...  more »
  • Just gorgeous! This heritage carousel is a must visit. Perfectly situated on the waterfront with stunning views it's a lovely activity with the kids or young at heart.

  • Geelong waterfront is one of my favourite spots - take a walk along the waterfront and breath in the fresh air and feel the sea breeze. Also, from now onwards to Christmas, there is also Christmas tree that lights up from 7.30 each night (I believe?)
  • On the Geelong waterfront lies a beautiful Carousel dating back to 1892. The restored carousel is one of the few heritage carousel in the world and tells the magnificent tale of King Arthur and Camelot. The Carousel Pavilion also features a fully restored 1898 Gavioli Band organ, with its impressive detailing and craftsmanship. The picture is of the band organ reflecting the carousel in its glass. The kids will love this ride!
  • fun day out with the kids. And so cheap! Not many places you can go these days, for a few dollars. Grab some fish nd chips while youre down there and you havve a fun day out!
  • Really nice for the children, but I've never heard a silent carousel before. The staff weren't very excited by their job. It was advertised as having Christmas activities but we could only find a mail box for Santa. Otherwise it is a great old restored carousel which young children would enjoy. Go for a walk along the foreshore afterwards and find the wooden people
  • I love the Geelong foreshore. Well worth the train trip from Melbourne.
