4.2/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web
A brewing company established in 2000, Little Creatures Brewing takes its name from a song lyric by the band Talking Heads and refers to the live yeast cells that turn sugars in malt wort into alcohol. The brewery building was originally constructed to house yachts participating in the 1987 America's Cup. It then housed a crocodile farm for a few years. The brewery has won a number of awards for beer excellence. Drop by for a meal at the brewery's restaurant and a taste of some of the brewery's most popular brands, such as the original Little Creatures Pale Ale, Rogers (an amber ale), or Pipsqueak (an apple cider). • Great place to pop in for a drink and something to eat as well. A good selection of crafted beers most of which brewed on site, and the food is well priced and very tasty, with a good selection of sha...  read more »
  • Been twice in the last week we have been here from NZ. Can be quite noisy though. Food is spectacular
  • We only visited for an hour but it was long enough to have a refreshing drink. The setting of the place is beautiful and rustic with a bit of industrial look to it. The place was so busy there wasn't ...  read more »
  • Food pretty good for a beer focussed water front attraction. Full standard range of beers on tap. Only comment is I would love to see some small batch seasonals just available here as a drawcard. Small range of beers can get boring very quickly.
  • Don't think for a second this is just a regular micro Brewery that might just have some food available. There is nothing truly like it in Australia, and what makes it great is what lacks. Predictability. Commerciality. Pretentiousness. We enjoyed a tasting at the Shop next door before moving to the restaurant and having dinner. The tasting was free, and you can opt for one of each of their products, or tailor your tasting to what you like. It arrives in shot glasses and are given instructions on how to proceed as well as tasting notes. There is a fair amount of merchandise for purchase as well as stockpiles of product to take home. The restaurant is massive and you pretty much sit anywhere. The servers come to you with menus and when you are ready to order they take your order. We ordered and paid with cash right at our table. Our server sat with us for a bit (it was late afternoon) and chatted about our day. Note-if you choose the beef nachos, be prepared. They are meant forn2 people. The pizza was also great, and happily added pineapple. For those with kids, there is a massive sandpit out in the rear outdoor section. When we had finished, we walked around and found the stairs, which led to an upstairs mezzanine which overlooks the harbour one way and the rest of the brewery the other way. If you are here for just one night in Fremantle, look this place up and enjoy!
  • Australia needs more breweries like this. If you are coming the USA you will bless the lord when you find this place. It's one of only two breweries I found during my month in Australia that had a good variety of beer and was doing something interesting with their brewing. Also the sample flight is free and massive. WIN!
  • Great pizzas and amazing beer! Overlooking the water, this place can get quite busy and loud. Try Creatures Next Door if you want a more quaint, chilled out atmosphere.
  • Great place to eat pizza. Nice outdoor area although small. Good ambiance but noisy as always full. Not recommended with small children as it could be messy.
