Esplanade Park, Fremantle

#1 of 7 in Parks in Fremantle
While away your time in the shade of tall Norfolk pine trees at Esplanade Park. Sit on a bench in the open-air seating area at this beautiful inner-city public park built by reclaiming land from the sea. Stroll over to the Explorers’ Monument. The children can play at the climbing maze. For the complete experience, go for a ride at the enclosed Ferris wheel. Nearby, there’s another landmark, the remnants of 1 km- (.6 mi) long Freemantle Long Jetty, should you wish to explore further. Back in the day this was a giant grass bowl which was great for taking your date if you wanted to kanoodle.. or could get a date.. which I never could. The transformed area is much more accessible to the entire family and the Ferris wheel is a nice way to see Freo from up top and ponder what you did with your youth.

Esplanade Park is spacious with a great playground for younger children and a great skate and parkor park for older kids as well as a large Ferris wheel for viewing the whole of Fremantle. There is a cafe which sometimes has live music and there are toilets

Huge space for the little ones to run around. The children absolutely love the playground.
