Don't even bother visiting this place as there was only 6-7 stalls/ outlets open (selling nearly the same stuff - souvenirs, nuts and a few places to eat), and while the rest of the stalls was not ope...  more »

Its gone downhill since we were last here 18 months ago. Very disappointing. Don't think we will revisit here next time we are in Fremantle.  more »

Homemade products can be bought from here. The food was not so good and pricey. I prefer the food from further inside Fremantle. It is cheaper and much better. But if you need to catch a boat ride from Shed B, then this is the best place for a quick snack.

Where once there was a hustle and bustle of people walking through the strange quirky and fascinating variety of little stalls, Now that has all gone, only a hand full of stalls with not very much to offer remain, The food court was once a heaven for a Variety of tastes and smells, now it is a shadow of its former self, dull and no longer exciting, The multitude of different stalls covering just about every need and want, are all gone, The stalls that remain are few and limited variety, If you want cheap gifts Aussin are your only choice there now, they have pushed the other gift stalls out, The E sheds are full of empty and closed off areas now, Parking has become easy due to the cost, the lack of visitors, and the Jack booted parking officers on patrol there, they remind you of the dark days of 1939 to 1945. Oh Dear me E sheds, what has become of you? It will be a long time till we as a family return to you.

This place used to be so good now just a joke. Only a few shop left. You have to pay for parking. Such a missed opportunity.

This place is a nightmare. Firstly you have to pay for parking and the ticket is only valid for your car (you have to key in your vehicle number) so you can't pass it to someone else if you are leaving early (which you will). Secondly, almost half the shops were closed/empty. I went on a Saturday and counted less than 10 customers walking around including our group of 4. The shops which were opened are selling cheap and poorly made souvenirs or food that look really sad because they have been sitting on the shelves for too long. Don't waste your time coming unless you have absolutely nothing else left to do in Fremantle.

You should have go to the Aussin – Gift & Souvenirs store in E-Shed markets. All of things in here are cut-price rather than you buy in the city. The salespersons are very friendly and the owner of the store is from Indonesia. So, I recommend you to go there and just look around first, after that, I'm sure that you will change your mind to buy some stuffs there

Where to stay in Fremantle

A good alternative to staying in busy Perth, the port city of Fremantle offers atmospheric lodgings in many of its well-preserved buildings from the 19th century. Available for both long and short stays in the city, these rental properties offer lots of privacy and all the modern conveniences you need, all just a walk away from the city's main attractions. If you're traveling on a budget, consider Fremantle's mid-range hotels and backpacker hostels, many of which you'll find near the main train station.
