Create an itinerary including Frenchman's Peak
Hike up the east slope of Frenchman's Peak and you'll be rewarded with panoramic views over Cape Le Grand National Park and the coastline. This granite outcrop holds a significant place in local Aboriginal culture. As you reach the summit after a steep, strenuous hike, look for a large cave, carved by waves and sea currents over millions of years. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and avoid climbing in rainy weather. • Beautiful hike! We really enjoyed getting to the top. The way down is just as steep, was crazy watching some people just run down it 😂

  • Beautiful walk, breathtaking views of surrounding beaches and national park at the top! The rock is quite steep but doesn’t take too long, definitely don’t recommend doing on a wet or windy day. (@the.bigredvan on Instagram)
  • Free entry, just requires you to do an easy to medium level of hiking.
  • Not for the faint hearted! (Like me. Lol) I'm quite fit but scared of heights. This is literally rock climbing on 45 degree angle. Not a hike. But overall if you dare, it's a great experience. My friends and our children aged between 8-11 all have climbed up. I've added some photos to give you an idea.
  • Amazing climb, quite challenging but we'll worth the effort!
  • Great climb very steep and rocky. Make sure you have good shoes. Very very windy. Great view worth the effort.
