Create an itinerary including Esperance Stonehenge
Constructed of giant blocks, some of which weigh more than 50 tons (100,000 lbs), Esperance Stonehenge is the only astronomically-aligned, full-scale, exact replica of the original Stonehenge in England. Built of pink granite, a local material, the structure was designed to look precisely like the original would have appeared around 2000 BCE. Initially meant to be erected in Margaret River, this stone replica is located near the region’s prized Twilight Beach, in itself a popular tourist attraction. The structure is visible from the road, but set aside some time for a leisurely visit and a unique photo opportunity. Esperance Stonehenge is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , online itinerary creator Edition.

  • I did not believe the locals who said how calming this place was. I walked in and it a few times, and they are correct, you do feel so calm and serene inside this.

  • A different place to visit. Very interesting and has a good shop for snacks and postcards plus gifts.

  • Worth stopping in to see Stonehenge. An up close view of what the real Stonehenge would have looked like. Very impressive and imposing. Parking and turning for caravans.
  • We were excited to see one of the tourist attractions of the area which sounded very cool. We had two cars approach waiting for our third car to decide whether to pay the expensive entry fee. We were told quite aggressively to “stop looking at the stones” which we could see a few of over the excessively built up fences which stopped people like us looking in illegally at the stones. Without any more thought on whether to pay the entry fee or wait for our friends we left. Many of us possibly up to 15 potential customers were deterred by the unpleasantness of your gatekeeper. What we illegally saw were undoubtedly rocks stacked on top of each other however not by mystical Gaelic forces.
  • Best place in Esperance. Had a very peaceful feel to it and place was grand and beautiful. We took lots of pictures
  • The lady staff member was a credit to the place very informative. While it is not the real one in the UK it was fantastic to see what it was supposed to look like . The fee paid was far less than the UK but you got to walk around the impressive structure. Well worth a visit when here.
  • The fact that this is a full size replica of the UK original as it was built is great. The info of the how/why the original was built is thorough. And this is easier to get to.
