  • Excellent spruiker, walking the historical exhibits coupled with a good hour on the water (possibly a tad expensive).  more »

  • Loved this place! We took the guided tour by Joel - a must do activity then went on the Paddle Steamer Cruise. River was full and fast moving - all the more exciting. Had lunch at the Star Hotel - slow to come out from the kitchen but worth the wait - it was delicious - and even went back to the Discovery Centre the next day to finish looking around.
  • Very friendly, helpful staff. Knowledgeable and pleasant to chat with about the local area. A great selection of souvenirs to suit everyone.
  • There is plenty to see here and even a quick look through will take a good hour. If you stop to read and take photos, you might need three hours. The history of the port and the river boats is quite fascinating.
  • Went one a one hour paddlestamer ride and then walked back through the discovery centre. Very interesting.
  • Intersting, history. Good story teller and pretty entertaining as well
