Created by the movement of the earth and the effects of natural erosion on flat sedimentary rock, Tessellated Pavement is a rare geological phenomenon found only in a few places in the world. • Wow the geological structures and formations is excellent. It really is worth the short term minute walk down to the the rock pools. Make this a stop on the way to Port Arthur and you won't be disappointed. Make the trip at sunrise and you have Instagram worthy shots you can write home about!
  • An interesting geographic feature, we first visited 30 years ago. It was interesting to see the differences in the pavement caused by ongoing erosion over this time. Quite a few stairs to get down to this one (and also a lot of stairs going up) but definitely worth exploring if you are physically able.
  • Really cool place. Great views from the top but lots of stairs to get to the bottom so not for everyone. Still worth a look from the easy path.
  • Very short walk with well built steps to access one of the most stunning shoreline. Good sight for snorkel. A nice small beach nearby.
  • We were here with 0.5m tide and it was great. Lovely place to visit, very close to main road and only 5 minutes to walk the track. Took me years to make this little sidetrip, don't skip it!! See my pics :)
