Interesting tour of the farm with very knowledgeable and friendly guides. Along the way tasted Macedonia nuts and bananas. Fruit tasting was excellent. Kids enjoyed the tractor ride, animal petting, b... read more »
Great place to visit if you get the time. We had a great time on the train and tried some great icecream. Will go back again when we visit the area again later this year.
Very good...educational lady extremely friendly, inclusive and interesting. Driver of tractor also as above. Young man serving food also friendly and welcoming. Rest of staff seen quite stiff and not as friendly.....probably more noticeable as others were good. Would have liked a pamphlet on the fruits tried as unable to remember all types. Very pleasant day.
A bit pricey. $45 per adult for a ride around the farm. Only made 1 stop for tasting some nuts and average oranges. We went at the end of the season, maybe they need to charge much less if there are no actual fruits on the trees. The mini train ride and the boat ride is a bit of a gimmick. Both seem to go around the same track. Few farm animals to feed and a handfull of captured kangaroos. The tour is unnecessarily long. Fruit tasting at the start is the highlight, but the actual presentation and tasting takes about 20 min, the other 40 you're just waiting around. The staff are very nice and welcoming. But would pay max $10 per person. Maybe when the fruits are in season, it's a different story.
Eautiful scenary. Best large avos. Tractor rides. Soon to be wedding location
I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. Would be nice if there was somewhere to buy food and drinks once you were down on the tour. Also we overheard families being specifically told that they weren't able to bring prams on the tour but a number did and this caused some space issues on the tractor ride. Overall I would recommend this to families in the area.
I have been to Tropical Fruit World three times in five years and I learn something new each time. This is an enjoyable day out for people of all ages. There are hundreds of varieties of tropical fruit, along with a train ride, animal farm and boat ride. I took my mother and received discounted entry in accordance with Tropical Fruit World's generous offer for Tweed and Gold Coast locals. If you love beautiful scenery and a day out with a difference, it's definitely worth the visit.
