  • Awesome love learning about what happened in the past to all of these criminals, and also seeing what has changed over the years. I love everything about it. I suggest this tourist attraction to people who like learning about the Gaels and what has changed about them. I myself and others have learnt a lot about what happened to these people. One that I really liked was there was this man who was hanged and his head departed from his body his name was Thomas Moore, he was nearly 80 when he got hanged.
  • I've heard positive reviews for the day time tours so we had high expectations for the adults only night tour, but we were pretty disappointed. The stories were half baked and almost question your intelligence. The tour guide had little material and struggled with follow up questions but he gets credit for being friendly and somewhat entertaining. For $35 per person this tour is not worthwhile, either reduce the price or rethink the idea behind the tour.
  • Oh my goodness did we (family of 5) enjoy our visit. The walk through tour is very nice and interesting. Signs are long enough to give the right amount of information and yet concise enough to not get overwhelming. The highlights of the visit (besides the nice coffee shop inside) were the theatrical performances by staff that replace the ordinary guided tours. What a brilliant idea to have an actor dressed as an actual inmate guide you through the place telling stories from his point of view or watch an inmate try and fail to escape and attempt to talk himself out of trouble after getting busted by a guard. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, very informative, very entertaining, very family friendly.
  • It was a good experience. A historical gaol with lots of information, photos, instruments and well maintained buildings.
  • Very informative and well maintained
