  • You really should go here. Beautiful old building now reborn as an art gallery and a cafe. We didn’t eat here as we had eaten at the previous attraction, but as we walked through the restaurant to exi...  more »

  • Found a strand of hair in the beef patty and that put us off the entire meal. We were to order desert but simply could not eat another bite after that. We left our meals and just got up to pay so that we could get out of there. When we advised them of the problem we received an apology, these were the exact words - 'hope this experience didn't put you off your meal' and 'hope you come back soon'. Well of course it put us off our meal and we're definitely not coming back soon. The least they could have done was not have charged us for the food we could not eat!
  • High tea was good value for money. Plenty of food for the three of us. Points off for the awful chipped old pottery tea pot. Not attractive. High tea is meant to be about glamour and indulgence, this did not look nice. Tiered stand was steel and ugly, what about a pretty porcelain one? High tea should be visually pleasing. Savoury items could be served first not everything all at once. Because by the time we got to the dessert items the tarts had melted from the sunshine coming through window.
  • Boutique gallery held in a fantastic building. The building is almost better than the art. Fun to explore at your own pace.
  • Worth a visit when in the area. $5 entry, surprisingly valid for 3 days if you wanted to head back. Great piece of history, very informative and great looking around. Would have liked to head back at night to the Altar bar
  • Our Big Day was all smiles. We could not of been happier, our guests had the best time within this picture perfect setting at the Convent Gallery. Forever grateful to Tina and her team.
